jdmkleinHad a wonderful day till it was time to make dinner. i burned my wrist and will likely have a nice blister and then scar. i put an ice cube on it right away and then aloe. It's a pretty sad state of affairs when the water out of the cold water tap it too hot to soothe a minor burn.
We took Mawellindo to the beach today. i know now for certain i cannot take him down to the pool with me in the morning. He loved the water. He was a tiny bit hesitant at first, but he found a rock and flew off it into the water. He swam out about 15 feet and then came back. We found a broken flip flop and used that for him to play fetch. i know if we had been able to go into the water, he would not ever have come out. He had so much fun. The water is about bath temp so it wasn't a shock to him at all. Of course, i forgot the video camera. Master said maybe one day this week we can go out again before He goes to work. This time He will be in charge of the video camera.
We brought Max back and Master rinsed him off while i put the bed linnen in the wash. The plan was then to go out to breakfast, take some more video of the city and sites around it, then do the marketing. After breakfast, Master said we probably shouldn't leave the camera on the floor of the car, it will get too hot. We didn't. i left it home again. i don't know how E can always have the camera handy whenever there is a kodak moment. i can't seem to get it out of the house.
The plan changed. We went to the market, brought the things home and Master grabbed the camera and we were off again on an adventure. Most of the video is through the window. It was just too hot to have the window open. We got the bhoom, and the little dhow. Really good views of them both. We took lots of video of the gulf. There's not much else in Kuwait to look at. Got the Scientific Center, the National museum with another dhow, a couple of marinas and some real working dhows. i snuck a short shot of one of the palaces of the Amir. We got a couple of good accidents i think, and then ended with some views of the apartment complex.
All in all i've used nearly one 60 minute tape. i will be amazed, though if i have 30 minutes of usuable footage. There will be lots of shots of the visor above my side of the windsheild, i think i have a couple of good shots of my knees, and some of the roof of the Emerson. i do know that i always had the lens cap off, that is one thing. Phew, all that cinematograhy made me tired. That and the fact that i woke up at 3:30 this morning. We got home from our video shooting about 2:30. i was fagged out.
Master is at umpire schoool tonight. i'm happy He has decided He is too old to play the game any more. It really isn't that He is too old, as much as it is His knees are too old. i will miss the first season because it starts about the day after i leave for home and only runs to the middle of september, just before i get back. Oh, well.
