jdmkleini fixed the tv today all by myself. Pretty neat eh? And to celebrate the great event i snoozed through two movies. One i don't even remember and the other an old black and white western 'Westward Women' or some such, with Robert Taylor.
Again i have been outfoxed by people who advertise on the net. i spent three hours this morning looking for duvet covers. After trying everyplace from Land's End to Macy's and all ports inbetween, i came across the BedBathStore. Exactly what i want, and on sale no less. Such a good deal i decided to order three. Get all through all the red asterisks only to find out they won't accept overseas billing. i wanted them shipped to Master so He could bring them back next week. i don't understand why someone would go through all the trouble of making their product available worldwide on the Internet and then close out a very large share of the world's population.
i have a quest for next week. There is a 500 fils store somewhere in Kuwait city. Everything in the store is 500 fils (about $1.50). One of the teachers got the neatest pair of mid-calf pants. And she picked up five shirts. She said she got her whole summer wardrobe at the 500 fils store. Apparently it is like an outlet mall, only smaller. The items are all made in the area, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi, Oman, etc. and must have some flaw or did not pass inspection for some reason. This is a store i have to find. They have men's clothes too. And kids, and all kinds of stuff. i shall search till i die, or drop, or find an Italian ice shop, whichever comes first.
Apparently no one in my family wants to talk to me tonight. I think i shall go watch tv.
