Jun. 4th, 2003 07:29 pmi did a bad thing this morning. i asked
surrenderedsoul to interview me. Darn it, she sent the questions already, and now i have to think about my answers.
In other news, i saw a Mr. Dhub chasing a Ms. Dhub (i'm guessing) out on the desert today. At first i thought they might be two different types of lizard, but when i got close, one was much bigger than the other, but they were looked the same. Ergo, male and female. They were so busy playing chase, they almost didn't notice dog and i coming along. Then she skittered down into the hole, and he, gentleman lizard that he is, stood guard at the entrance until we had passed.
It must be assertive lizard day in the desert because the next Dhub we passed did the same thing. He was huge. And he stood at the entrance of the burrow and watched as we went by. Perhaps they are getting accustomed to us coming by every day.
Max is better, thanks for asking jen. i still take him out but the run is cut by about half. i let him have his way. Whenever he wants to stop and pooch a bit, i let him. Sometimes, if it's early in the run, i'll keep going and then he gets a good aerobic workout when he comes beatin' feet to the car. i give him water several times now during the run instead of at the end. And we go out about 90 minutes later in the afternoon, when there has been a chance to cool down some. i'm trying to figure a way to put some more meat on his bones. He doesn't have an ounce of fat on him. He's whole healthy and all but gad he is skinny. i've started to augment his diet with table scraps. He's the only dog i know who loves the spine of romaine lettuce. Duh! what a dog.
