i am on vacation, hooray. Don't know for sure how long it will be, just yet, the moonsighting committee still hasn't made up it's mind. If i were a betting person, i'd bet on going back to work on Tuesday. The Kuwaitis just like to have a good time too much.
i don't know if i am being punished at work or being told i'm a valued member of the academic/administrative community. Now i have to write annual reports for the unit to be put in the Faculty's annual report book. This has never been done before in the unit. i swear, i don't know what the previous director did with his time. The computer is too slow to play games on, and the university server won't let porn webistes up. The VDAA fully supports our efforts to do a needs analysis in the faculty so we can create a language program better suited to our needs. If we are so darned necessary to this faculty, why won't they give us money for research or fund us if we want to go to a conference for professional development. Two of our teachers went to TESOL Arabia last year to present a paper. Not only did they NOT get any help from the university, they were docked one day's pay for leaving before 5pm on a Wednesday afternoon. That just about sucks hind tit.
Master is pooching around putting up hooks on backs of doors and stuff like that there. There is just something about knowing you don't have to work for several days to give you all kinds of energy. i thought we were going to a play tonight. A pantomime, a British thing. i got my dates mixed up. We go next week. Which is good, i really didn't feel like going out again tonight.
