After i got Mother settled i went out shopping this morning. i went to the Farm Fleet store to get some leather for the cross. Master asked me to try to find some, He was having zilch for luck in Kuwait. i didn't find what He asked for at Farm Fleet, but i did find some nice flannel shirts. At $3.88/shirt i thought they were a good bargain. i picked out three and took them to the checkout. The clerk rang up $8 and change and i was surprised. She then told me there was another 33% taken off the $3.88 price. i was almost tempted to go back and buy six or seven more. But i didn't. i may regret this later on, say in December or January, but today all i could think about was trying to get 2 tons of stuff in a 1 ton bag. Not going to be easy.

i went to Penara for a danish and a latte, then on to Walmart for vitamins and over the counter drugs. i found a pair of jeans for Master and a pair of shoes. Got some banana clips for me, this is the first time EVER my hair has been almost long enough to use a banana clip. Never thought that would happen. Got some other stuff and then decided i'd best get to the market before my knees gave out completely.

i did some shopping for Mother and tried to finish up the things to take back to Kuwait. Stopped at the pharmacy to pick up a scrip for Mother and left the list on the counter. i decided we had better stop making up names for food items. Mother wanted some cheese spread for her toast in the morning. i knew what she wanted, but when i got to the cheese case i couldn't for the life of me think of the name. i finally asked the clerk. i said i didn't know what it was called, or what the container looked like, but i knew we had gotten some there before. i told him we called it tubba bub. It took him some time, but he sussed it out. They were out. So much for Mother's cheese spread.

i limped back to Mother's and unloaded the car. All that's left in the trunk is some cat food and a 12 pak of coke. Keeping it hot don'tcha know. i just couldn't walk back to the garage again. Took me a few hours to feel comfortable enough to walk downstairs to finish the laundry. i hate stairs, hate, hate, hate stairs.

Mother has an eye appointment tomorrow. i have to remember to ask the doc why the hospital kept a $38 bottle of eye drops that had only had three drops used. The doc gave her a sample bottle of the drops, but i'm sure that isn't going to last as long as she needs them. This upsets me no end. i know she won't get the bottle back, but she sure shouldn't have to pay for a new bottle. The doc should arrange for her to have some more samples. He better. GRRRR
