Master went home in March, only after being assured that when He got back in April He would have a job. Master returned to Kuwait on April 21. On April 24, He was informed that the contract He was working under was not going to be renewed. Rumors flew. MOD was going to offer Him a private contract. The company He works for was working with the KAF to get His contract renewed. The KAF officers He works with know there will be problems with Him gone. The MOD goes on believing that the Kuwaiti Air Force can handle their own supply.

Two weeks ago, May 5, Master went into work, and was told to go to the main office to check out. He had to return all the property of the company He was working for. He got a nice bonus in His last payslip. He was not required to turn in His civil i.d. nor His visa.

He has sent His resume into several different companies, but since the main contract He was working under is with the U.S. Navy, no one could talk to Him while He was still working. He sent His resume to a new company in Kuwait. It is an American/Kuwait joint venture. He was told from the git go that He was the best they had seen so far. That they did not have the contract signed, sealed, and delivered yet, but as soon as they had the last things tightened up, they would call Him.

They did. Tonight i have to take Him to the airport at 9:00. He will be spending the night there, because the military flight they are taking to Baghdad leaves very early in the morning. The man He is speaking with said they should be back tomorrow night. He is to check everything out, see what will be needed to get the warehouse management transferred, how many people will be needed to run it.

i am not liking this one little bit. The only good point so far is that, hell there is no good point as far as i can see. Lots of ignoring that elephant in the living room syndrome at our place. Lots of discussion about the future. Not many tears, i amazed myself on that one. Perhaps we should end this, i won't have to worry about Him anymore, and He won't have to feel responsible for me. i don't want that. He doesn't want that. i can see no good end to this, but am living with my fingers crossed that He won't have to go there on a temporarily permanent assignment.
