i got waylaid after work today. It wasn't a bad thing, it was good to talk to the people in a relaxed atmosphere. But i was nearly 2 hours late getting home. i had called Master to let Him know when i thought i was walking out of the door, but then i got stopped again. He wasn't angry, He knows why i don't have my phone. The road was clear though, almost devoid of traffic i made the 50 minute trip in nearly half the time. Almost makes staying late in the office worth it. But not quite.
Master is going to the American military base tomorrow. A new container has arrived, and He wants to get some pork. Sometimes i feel a bit guilty when i'm cooking bacon or sausage for breakfast and i have the exhaust fan on. i keep thinking of all those people on the street who get to smell the wonderful aroma of bacon cooking and wonder what it is.
Living in the land of no pork isn't so bad. And even though Master can go to the base and buy it, we seldom have it. What i do miss is good old iowa cornfed beef. Mostly we eat Australian or New Zealand beef. i don't like the taste of that beef. i think the cattle are range fed, and the meat has a muddy taste. i don't much care for lamb or goat, this is the most common meat. i have no desire to try camel, i can only believe they taste as bad as they smell. Hard limit, Hard limit!
The good thing is there is lots of nice seafood and easily available. Tonight we had blackened fish with red beans and rice and corn bread. Don't get much better 'en that. Master was going to make hurricanes, don't ask me, but we don't have any pineapple juice.
Master just got home. Besides going to the base, He went to the phone store and got a new cell phone. Man! Why did i buy Him one about 15 months ago? They are so much cheaper now. Now He has another number for me to remember.
the iron the iron the iron....only 21 more days of that yippee!
